Floods
Flooding is the second most frequent occurring
disaster that affects the Lebanon County. A look at recent history
shows that areas have been flooded due to Tropical storms, winter thaws,
and heavy rain fall. In most cases flooding has occurred along
streams and creeks, but flooding has also occurred on city streets.
Knowing what you can do to prepare for flooding and what to do when
flooding has occurred can save your life and the lives of your family.
Know What to Expect

Know your area's flood risk--if unsure, call your
local Red Cross chapter, emergency management office, or planning
and zoning department.

If it has been raining hard for several hours, or
steadily raining for several days, be alert to the possibility of a
flood.
